There seems to be no direct Bus to Cochabamba.
Yes you could fly.
But you miss this:
Maybe to la Paz there is. (I guess not because it is just too far… Take a break! don’t rush! 🙂 tranquillo)
Im Asuncion Bus-Terminal you walk up the stairs to the upper floor and walk around to find the little “shops” that sell bus tickets… One is separate and has “Bolivia” written on… Keep asking for “Santa Cruz”.
The ticket costs 300.000Guarani (60€ Or $)
VERY IMPORTANT: bring some PENs to fill out all that ” border crossing paperwork”
YOU WILL GET CHECKED 4x TIMES!
iNCLUDING YOUR LAGUAGE! (With a German Shepard Dog: “Such” )
4.00 o’ clock in the morning!
They are primarily searching for drug-money going back to Bolivia.
The trip is a bit of a ride (2000km) but you will be there the next day the time you left Asuncion (24h).
The red part of the road (aprox) is not very well maintained… (Not Asphalt … Just rock’n roll Rodeo of holes)
Which is probably because Paraguay does not want tourists (or drug-money) to leave in that Direction :-p
Once you are at Santa Cruz Terminal you can take a taxi to a hostel
right across the very busy Street there is a 20$ (150Bolivianos) per Night (ask for simplico room) and breakfast hostel called “JENECHERU” and continue your trip the next day.
I was told not to drink the tab water!
Or drink atleast 40% string alcohol afterwards…
